Hey Y’all!
I am a lover of junk, rust, and all things old. I love to re-purpose and re-create things. This is definitely one of my passions in life and there is always something that I am thinking of doing or getting my hands on.
This is a post that has been in the works for a while. Driving through our neighborhood one day, I noticed a yard sale and had to pull over. The first thing I saw was an old light yellow banged up desk. It was missing handles and had a dusty blue cushion for the seat in the chair. For me, it was love at first sight. I made my purchase at $25 and brought her home. It was summertime then, and I lugged it outside – sanded it, repainted it a bright pumpkin shade, sanded it again, and added new hardware. I also reupholstered the seat to the original chair in a funky designed fabric with shades of oranges, brown, reds, and turquoise.
The desk has found a new home in our basement (nevermind the pics with the wood paneled wall background and the awful blue carpet – that is our next remodeling project;). God always has a plan for us. And for me I began a new career working from home. The desk was perfect for me. I didn’t know that I would end up using it as much as I do, but I am so thankful that God not only had a plan for me – but for the desk as well. Happy Friday!!
