Vintage Pickin’ Event + Spring Décor Trends
One of the souths BEST vintage markets (and something that we get to be apart of with Soul Revival Boutique) is Vintage Pickin’ held in Fort Payne, AL. With over 65 curated vendors, this is an event you don’t want to miss! There’s all sorts of antique and vintage goodness from vendors that travel across multiple state lines with some of the BEST finds. The booths are amazing and truly a work of art. I always love seeing everyone on set up day to seeing the completed booths on the first day of the show. I am going to share some of the trends that I saw and what I brought home!
Favorite Spring Décor Trends:
Risers – Whether it was metal or wood, risers are a great piece for elevating other decorative items. Whether it’s a plant, picture frame, or architectural piece – these are a must have!
Cloches – Glass Cloches are big right now. I use mine with a riser (which is an old column end cap) and a trio of brass candlestick holders. I also saw them styled with potted plants and books depending on how large your glass dome is. I went with a smaller size so it would fit in my bookshelf.
Brass – is EVERYWHERE AND HERE TO STAY! This pretty metal looks great against solid or patterned walls. You will see it in sculptures, mirrors, candlestick holders, frames, and vases.
Head Busts – ok…if you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen my head statue covered in live greenery in my dough bowl! Love them, or hate them, they are here for 2022. Whether you have one on your patio, or a bookshelf – these are very hot right now. **I did threaten my kids with it if they didn’t eat dinner that they may become a statue too! You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes! haha**
Swans – From wooden to concrete, swans (and birds in general) are in the house, y’all! From overflowing with ferns to sitting pretty on pedestals, swans are all the rage. I also saw several chicken statues, cranes in fabric, and geese statues.
White Pitchers – along with Milk Glass are huge for spring and summer. Place them on your risers, sideboards, in dough bowls. The possibilities are endless. They also look great styled with greenery or flowers like hydrangeas or tulips!
Let me know what your favorite trend is! These are some of the items that I picked up!
