Here comes Peter Cottontail hoppin’ down the bunny trail…..Spring has sprung and we are so ready for warmer weather! I thought it would be fun to show how I do my boys Easter baskets. I try to gift a variety of items from books, to small toys, and of course – candy!
I love using vintage baskets (plus I can reuse them!) and start by adding a layer of faux grass filler. If your basket is deeper, you can also start by using balled up plastic grocery bags before you add your faux grass. Next, I layer taller items on the backside like books. I love incorporating faith based items -the Easter Story Book and a cross. Once, your larger items are “layered” you can add your medium size items (like cotton candy or toys) and lastly, I add in my candy as another item to fill space. Doing fun things like this for the kids is truly something that brings me joy and I love teaching them about Jesus and the hope that he brings us.
“ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17
