Winter fashion forecast
With winter in full swing, your closet deserves a much needed makeover on those drab days when you can’t get outside. And putting forth the extra effort to dress practical and chic can be so hard! (We hear you calling sweatpants)! I love getting dolled up, and making it a point to steam items for the week that I may want to wear (this cuts down lots of time ironing + getting ready/deciding what to wear) helps me to narrow down what I may have a hankering to dress in. My favorites for winter right now are:
1. Loose Boho Chic Prints – I’m especially thankful for these right now with my pregnancy (and the struggle is real to not live in sweats;). Top them off with leggings and a fun floppy hat.
2. Fringe – from tops, and boots, to shaggy vests fringe is always IN.
3. Layers – whether it’s a vest, faux fur, scarves, Ruffles, lace, or tulle (or all of the above) the key to layering is having a feature piece layered with a simple top (or more streamlined silhouette). * The Buckle, Philanthropy have great ideas on layering as well.
4. Tall boots – yes, please. Boots that are over the knee and reach the knee are my absolute favorite right now. They make you feel tall, lean, and glam. And a girl can always afford to feel gorgeous and glam.
5. Plaid – plaid button downs are a staple in my closet! You can use them to layer with a graphic tee, tank tops, jewelry, or scarves. Button downs give you a effortless, rustic look.
I’ve had so much fun buying and bringing my personal style to other women across the country. We have a few pop up shops scheduled throughout the next few months and there will be LOTS of my winter favorites available to purchase in person or online.
